Clearwave is an iOS app that helps you quit vaping, nicotine pouches, cigarettes and heated tobacco. Publisher and contact: Oğuz Kağan Yatağan — fethiyewebtasarimi@gmail.com.
Clearwave has no account and no server. Your quit date, what you used and its price, your reasons, your craving history and your settings are stored only on your device, inside the app. We do not collect, sell or share any of it. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking tools in the app.
If you add a Clearwave widget, the app saves a small summary (quit time, daily cost, counts) in an area on your device that only Clearwave and its widget can read.
Milestone alerts, morning check-ins, motivational messages and smart craving alerts are created and scheduled on your phone by iOS, from your own data in the app (for example the money you have kept, or the hours your logged cravings usually happen). Their text never leaves your device. You choose how often they come and can turn them off in the app or in iOS Settings.
If you turn on Apple Health in Clearwave's settings, the app saves your breathing sessions to the Health app as Mindful Minutes and reads your resting heart rate to show its trend in Insights. This happens only with your permission, on your device. Health data is never sent to us or anyone else, is not used for advertising, and is not included in Clearwave's iCloud backup. You can remove Clearwave's access at any time in the Health app.
If you turn on iCloud backup, a copy of your Clearwave data (quit date, usage and prices, reasons, craving history and settings; no Health data) is stored in your own iCloud account so you can restore it on a new iPhone. Only your Apple Account can access this copy; we cannot. Turning the option off stops new backups, and Settings > Erase everything also deletes the copy in iCloud.
If you use Clearwave on Apple Watch, your iPhone sends a small summary (quit time, daily cost, counts and your breathing technique) to your paired watch, and cravings you log on the watch are sent back to your iPhone. This uses Apple's direct connection between your own devices; nothing goes through our servers.
The "I'm craving" shortcut, the Control Center button and the Lock Screen countdown during a breathing session run on your device and only open Clearwave or show a timer.
Payments are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details. Apple tells the app only whether Clearwave Pro is active. Subscriptions are managed and cancelled in your Apple Account settings.
Your iPhone's own backup (iCloud or computer) may include the app's data, under your Apple settings.
In the app, Settings > Erase everything removes all of it right away, including the copy in your iCloud backup. Deleting the app removes the data on your phone; if you turned on iCloud backup, that copy stays in your iCloud. To remove it too, use Settings > Erase everything before deleting the app.
Clearwave is a support tool and does not give medical advice. The recovery timeline is based on public guidance from the World Health Organization and the NHS.
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
